Mer Dexter

Dexter verkar känna sig som hemma redan, han t o m leker med Pixel nu, helt otroligt – underbart!

Har inga bilder på de båda tillsammans ännu, men jag har äntligen kunnat ladda upp en hel del på Dex på Picasa (ej gallrat, och kommentarer kommer senare). De allra första bilderna är tagna första gången vi såg honom, hos fodervärden, tillsammans med sina syskon och mamman Maja.

Jag har hållit på ett par dagar med detta nu och har varit på väg att kasta ut PCn genom fönstret p g a det trådlösa nätverket jag har här uppe på mitt kontor. Det funkar urdåligt. :cursing: Jag har velat ladda upp ett klipp på YouTube, men det har inte funkat eftersom jag blir utslängd stup i kvarten.

Crete

I have now almost recovered from our week of holidays in Crete.

The whole adventure started off at 4 am on Friday, 5th June. With me forgetting my handluggage in our car when we changed cars at Christian and Lotta’s place in Landskrona.

You should have seen my face when I discovered my mistake at Sturup airport when we had unloaded all the luggage. But where was my red bag with the dress for the wedding, shoes, my makeup, hairdryer, camera, jewellry etc etc..?! Huh? Argghhhh!! :cursing:

Then the flight had one hour’s delay. Figures.

M and I did not get seated together, and as the cherry on the cake we sat in the back of the plane. Where do they have the toilets? In the back of course. So sitting in the aile, I had asses in my face all the way down to Greece. Nice way to start the vacation. (Do I sound grumpy? Naaahh… )

Once off the plane, the heat of the sun hit my face – what a niiice feeling! My face finally turned into a smiling one.

One hour later we checked in at our hotel Sirios Village in Agii Apostoli. Room 655 actually had two rooms, a kitchenette, big bathroom and a balcony. Very nice. The hotel area was fantastic with loads of flowers and olive trees.

In the evening we met up with Linda and Jonas and their families and friends and had Souvlaki at a nice restaurant nearby. With tsatziki of course. :love:

I won’t reproduce all activities during this week, but we had a lot of sun, bathing (pool and sea), delicious food (I never had time to get hungry), wine, beer, ouzo – all of it in good company of old and new friends.

I had bought a nice, green dress for the wedding, but it got stuck back home for a strange reason (!). So a few hours before the wedding, Lotta and I went to Chania to find me a new one, including shoes. Mission accomplished. Pink instead of green, but anyway. :puh: (thanks for your patience, Lotta!) You can get a glimpse of it in the collection of pictures below, where I am dancing a traditional Greek dance. :dance:

It should be added though that the story of my lost bag was soon spread throughout the whole wedding crowd, and I was stunned by all offers to borrow dresses, and all kinds of solutions to get the bag to the hotel in time. Warm thoughts to all of you for your concern! :flower:

The wedding took place on Monday, 8th June on a cliff in the sunset… I have never been to anything this romantic and beautiful in my whole life. Unfortunately I do not have any own pictures from the ceremony or the party after to show you, since I took pictures with Linda and Jonas’ camera.

I feel somewhat frustrated since I had to take pictures with my mobile phone (camera, bag – remember?), which did not have memory for more than 70-ish pictures. But I managed to capture some nice moments, and I can take part of my friends’ pictures as well. I heard that there were almost 5000 pictures shot during that week…

We got home last Friday and when we stepped out of the airport, we got a minor chock. 10 degrees, storm and rain. Welcome home!

But it is nice to be back home where it is all green, and where you feel you can actually breathe without lungs being boiled. Where you can walk barefoot in the sand without risking 2nd degree burn wounds on the sole of your feet.

Where I can cuddle with Pixel again. :melt:

Pick-a-boo!

Just because I am not updating my blog it does not mean that my life is extremely poor in happenings. On the contrary. Lacking time and energy for the ‘real’ blogging. It is so much smoother to Twitter… Anyone being friends with me on Facebook, or checking out the space to the right here, is aware of that. *hint hint*

I will not go back in time further than last weekend, when Lotta E had her f a b u l o u s birthday party. Theme: the 60ies.

We had such great fun :dance: and I hope to share some more pictures than the above (my interpretation of the 60ies-look, including white boots and accessories of course…) from the party shortly. So stay tuned…

Other than that I am busy working my way down the list of “ToDoBeforeTripToGreece”. Today I just HAVE to buy that new bikini and shoes for the wedding. Bikini for the pool/beach, shoes for the wedding.

Note: We are leaving for Crete on Friday, for A wedding (not ours, no) and some relaxation… Think Mamma Mia and Le Grand Bleu/The Great Blue. :yes:

Lots of Lotus

Today we took M’s Lotus for a nice spring ride. First we went to Ring Knutstorp where the Lotus club had a gathering. M didn’t participate in the training on the track, but we might do it in a few weeks. Looking forward to it!

Lots of Lotus and other cool engines. Luckily for you, I brought my camera along on our little excursion today…

Later in the afternoon we went to see my sis Linda and had a nice fika in the sun. Then we went back home and put some meat on the BBQ. Now it’s the end – *yawn* – of a long and lovely day. Tomorrow we will start digging in the garden, but that’s another story…

Candlelight hour

I would like to share the feeling of the really nice and relaxing atmosphere we had at home last Saturday during the Earth Hour.

We had Lotta and Christian over for dinner – Chili con Carne, if someone’s curious – and at 20:30 all lights were switched off and plenty of candles were lit in the house, even in the bathroom.

Just too bad that the attendance was not as good as I thought and hoped it would be. But at least my conscience is clean. :yes:
